Hotel convenient to MICA

Hi,

We%26#39;re sending our daughter off to college at MICA in a few weeks. Any suggestions for where to stay the night before orientation (Aug. 22)? We have to be at her dorm at 8AM Aug. 23 o start the move in process. Thanks for your help.

The closest hotels that I know of would probably be in the Mt Vernon area. Here is a list. I%26#39;d mapquest them to see which is the closest to the campus:

Could also stay in one of the Inner Harbor hotels. Very short cab ride away.

For neighborhood convenience, the Peabody Court is the choice...On the edge of Mt. Vernon Square...it is the best hotel in the neighborhood.

The downtown/inner harbor hotels are about a mile south...a little bit more...and that too is walkable, especially on Charles St. Also...the light rail runs from the western edge of downtown, on Howard St. directly to MICA...The new Hampton Inn at Camden Yards and the Hyatt Inner Harbor are quite close to the light rail...
