My Mom will be celebrating her 61st birthday on the 4th of July. I want to get her a cake and I have no idea where to get one? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Any idea on where to get a birthday cake?
There is a Baskin Robbins at 5th and Boardwalk -- I am sure I saw at least 2 ice cream birthday cakes in the freezer at the back of the store. And there are grocery stores and bakeries down at the other end of the main drag. I know I saw a Walmart some where close by. People do live here, you know. It is not all tourists.
Any idea on where to get a birthday cake?
Does anyone know of any good, little bakeries? i%26#39;d love to try the little OC bakeries before hitting the giant, etc.
';Desserts by Rita'; is a well known local establishment that makes all sorts of cakes and pastries and supplies several of the higher end restaurants with their desserts. They can be obtained at several local outlets. I know for sure, that both the Wine Racks in OC (80th St. %26amp; West OC) offer them.
Unfortunately, they don%26#39;t have a website. However, try Googling ';Desserts by Rita, Ocean City, MD'; and a couple of phone numbers that you can call will pop up.
If you are looking for something truly unique instead of the standard ';sheet cake'; from one of the grocery stores then Desserts by Rita is for you.
Another very unique option might be finding a place that sells a local dessert called Smith Island cakes...yummy!
