We%26#39;ll be flying into BWI and would like to tour DC right from the airport prior to checking into our hotel in Baltimore. Could anyone give me any suggestions re how to get to DC where we could possibly connect with one of those on/off all day tour bus rides and then from DC to Baltimore?
DC from BWI airport
From BWI, take the free shuttle from the terminal to the rail station. From there, you can connect with an inexpensive MARC commuter train during the week ($6) or an Amtrak train at all times (fares vary, but usually around $15-$20).
The train will take about 30-40 minutes to get you to Union Station in Washington, which is a major stopping point/ticketing area for the on/off tours of DC.

just be prepared, this is a lot of running around today esp after just flying in. be prepared to walk and wear good walking shoes.
