Shark restaurant

We just returned from a few days in OC. Before this trip, I would have said that Reflections was my favorite OC restaurant. But, this trip we ate at the Shark - I cannot give enough compliments to this place. The service was excellent and prompt, and the food was to die for - The chef always sends out a taster for each guest of some small bite that varies from night to night.

We had a baked brie appetizer that was wrapped in filo dough with crab meat, spinach, roasted peppers, and had honey on the outside. For dinner, I had unbelievably tender filet mignon topped with a walnut / blue cheese crust and sauteed green apples and onions - my friend had a crusted pork chop that was just as good.

For anyone looking for a fancy meal, don%26#39;t pass it by - it might not look like much from the outside due to the location, but it is wonderful.

I checked out their website Suz.

The menu looks very interesting. I will be staying on 28th street.

It isn%26#39;t that far from where I am staying. I like exploring new places.

Thanks a lot!

Suz--this sounds like a great place to eat. Can you give us a guidepost of price? Being retired teachers we have to think of such things!

Their prices and menu are on their website -

Dinners are $20 or so - on the pricey side, but Oh, so worth the splurge for the night!

Thanks for the info! I think you%26#39;re right--perhaps just the place we%26#39;re looking for to enjoy a special dinner!
