Where to stay - any advice?

We are a young couple, looking to relax AND party a bit too...would prefer a hotel with a nice beach front and, maybe a pool, too. Can%26#39;t afford hilton, was looking for something more in the 200-250 range. Not sure what side of the city to be in (will be my first time in OC) but would prefer close to a few restaurants and nightlife, if any (i.e. dance clubs, comedy clubs, etc).

Coming for three nights late July. Thanks for your help!!

Where to stay - any advice?

Run the dates you plan to visit through the Travelers Trust located on this site to see what is available.

As it is July you might be limited to the options you have.

Planning to stay weekend or weekday?

After you find out what your options are we could suggest which would serve your needs best.

Where to stay - any advice?

not sure where ';travelers trust'; is....I am looking to stay Thur through Saturday or Sunday. Weekend of July 27th

We are also a young couple and made our first trip to OC last August. Stayed at the Dunes Motel (not to be confused with sister Hotel next door ';The Dunes Manor Hotel';) For $239 a night we had a really nice oceanfront room with a full kitchen. Two queen beds %26amp; a pullout sofa. Private balcony. This particular motel is at 27th street which is right at the end of the boardwalk. We felt that it was just a bit too far from the action. We spent a ton of $$ on the boardwalk tram. This year we aren%26#39;t going til Sept but booked a room at the Comfort Inn on 5th Street. Oceanfront with kitchenette for $140 a night.

The Quality Inn on 33rd is oceanfront with an indoor and outdoor pool. the rromsd have Kitchenettes a sofa bed as well as one or 2 beds. They also have small balconys. It is right next door to the new HIlton. It is in a great area. Close to everything. You will have to drive to the boardwalk or walk to 28th and take the tram or take the $2 bus.

The Dunes Hotel (next door to the Dunes Motel) is awesome. Their restaurant has great early-bird specials and breakfast is wonderful, and reasonably priced. Great oceanfront balcony where you can sit and relax. It%26#39;s at the end of the boardwalk farthest from the inlet but it%26#39;s an easy walk (a mile or two of fun boardwalk sights and sounds) or tram ride to the inlet. Lots going on that%26#39;s not on the inlet though. Also, the Dunes Hotel has a rooftop pool which is awesome. You should be able to get in there for $200-$250/night. Very easy beach access and a shower downstairs to shower off before you go back in.

The Coconut Malorie is also wonderful. It is on the bay and a short walk to the beach (across Coastal Highway but fine if you cross at the light). It is attached by a bridge to Fager%26#39;s Island, which is a really fun place. Nice, central location.

Have fun!!!!

click on oceancity.com

and do your search from there

You say your a young couple and you problay want to be down near the inlet to 14st. Everything is walking distance from there: Arcades, shops, small bars and so forth.
