Rehoboth and Bethany

After a hot morning, early afternoon at the beach my two teenage boys and hubby are ready to get in the car and take a ride. Is it worth heading up to Rehoboth and Bethany Beach. Is there anything to do, crabbing, fishing cool sites and are there any casual restaruants where we can can get a crab dinner. ko

Rehoboth and Bethany

Logistically, traffic from OC to the Delaware beaches and parking there can be an issue, especially with Rehoboth.

Bethany is about 15 minutes north of Ocean City at most times and parking is usually available.

Rehoboth can be anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour depending on how traffic is flowing, and parking is a *major* headache in the areas closest to the beach/boardwalk.

There%26#39;s plenty to do in both places, especially in Rehoboth. But you might want to post to the Delaware forums for specific recommendations.

Plenty of fishing in Delaware! The state parks are open for a fee that gets you into any of them. Check out the Indian River inlet! It%26#39;s kinda a traffic headache right now with construction, but there is good fishing there. We drove through Rehoboth last year and it%26#39;s nice, but not our cup of tea. Have you tried the national seashore at Assateague? Good spots for clamming, crabbing and fishing! Bring good mosquito repellent!!!! I do believe that mosquitos are in line to become the national bird there! There is also an over sand vehicle permit available if you have an appropriate vehicle and don%26#39;t mind dropping 70 bucks or so! You can get more info on that at the Assateague web site! Have fun!
