Ocean City MD in mid September w/ Preschoolers/Toddlers??

We are staying at the Hilton Suites on recommendation of a friend who has small kids %26amp; stayed there in the summer season. We are going mid September (dont have another option if we want a vacation!). We are a family with 4 yr old twins and a toddler.

Can anyone (who is very familiar with Ocean City) tell me what there is to do with small children? We have learned that the Jolly Roger park will be closed, and that it is likely other places like Planet Maze may be closed - - since we will be there during the week.

Where else is there to go with small kids, if it would rain or other than the pool area, which sounds great.

Thank you for any advice/comments!!

Thanks, I will do that. I did check into the rides on the boardwalk and they said they will most likely be closed.

What are your exact travel dates in mid-September? The reason I ask is that Delmarva Bike Week is September 13 - 16. About 100,000 motorcyclist congregate in and around the OC area. The only real problem they create is noise.

There is so much to see and do in Ocean City you should not have any problems entertaining your children. We are fortunate and own a place in OC. Our two children are 4 and 2 and have been to OC at least one weekend every month since they were born. We are going for the first week in October and it is one of our favorite times of the year. Last year we had the beach to ourselves and most of the restaurants offer half price entrees.Be sure to visit the Zoo in Salisbury (free) and Assateague. Like others said check out the Convention Center they have all of the local papers and brochures on everything to see and do. There are many inside attractions if needed or parks around to enjoy if the weather suites. September could be the best weather of the year according to the locals. Good luck and let us know how you enjoyed it. I know you will have a great time.
