I will be in Ocean City in August.
Who can%26#39;t resist the smell of a funnel cake or a cannolli, but does anyone know of any places to eat that are a bit more healthy.
Thanks
Healthy Eating
If you%26#39;re thinking of a place in OC that markets itself as a healthy-eating place, I think you%26#39;re out of luck. But at 99% of the full service restaurants in town, you can certainly get a salad with perhaps a grilled chicken breast or salmon filet on top instead of something that%26#39;s deep fried. And at most carryout pizza and sub places, too.
Willpower is most likely the biggest obstacle to eating healthy in OC. Unless you%26#39;re at a stand on the Boardwalk that specializes in serving just one deep-fried thing or a Candy Kitchen, you%26#39;ll probably find something reasonably healthy by looking a little harder at the offerings.
Healthy Eating
You are not going to find anything healthy on the boardwalk. Best bet is to stick to seafood restaurants and order food broiled without butter. Any decent restaurant will accomodate requests that are not too off the wall.
your on vacation, who cares what you eat..
Yeah I agree that your not going to find anything healthy on the boardwalk. Unless you want to go to a supermarket and get something healthy from there to bring back to where ever you are staying. But when your eating out, order your chicken grilled or choose broiled or baked instead of fried and cut back on things like the butter or anything that will add extra calories. You should probably stick to the seafood if you are eating healthy. There are also a lot of places in OC that have fruit smoothies and things like that on there menu. But anyway, your on vacation so you shouldn%26#39;t worry about what you eat like what the previous poster said.
Conners Beach Cafe in the Park Place Hotel has this on their website:
';Serving favorites like fresh cut fries, char-grilled hamburgers, local seafood and homemade soups. If you%26#39;re looking for some healthy alternatives, Conner%26#39;s offers sweet potato fries, wraps, salads, gardenburgers, fresh fruit, pasta and broiled seafood dishes. Children can choose from an extensive children%26#39;s menu which even includes a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! ';

Thanks a lot Sassy.
I will be down on 3rd street, so I will definitely check it out.
Appreciate you sending me the web site to Conners Beach Cafe too.
The bad foods do taste yummy and I do eat some of them, just trying to balance both good and bad foods while away.
Mad Hatters is between 30-40th street and has a great menu with wraps, veggie burgers ect. that are very good. A nice change of pace from the normal oc fare.
Thanks aandrew!!
I added that to my list that I will take with me.
New places are always interesting to go to.
