Your Favorite Things In Ocean City Md

I saw this post yesterday and it was started years ago and I think we should bring it back. Of course for many the norm was the food, boardwalk, beach etc. One I found very interesting was many people said ';the smell';

One person did not wash her sons t shirt for over a year and it still had the smell of the ocean and thus Ocean City Md. Now I%26#39;m going to try this on my upcoming visit so please.....

If you see me walking around months later smelling a pair of my boxers please don%26#39;t laugh. I can see me doing this and all of a sudden realize

these are not my boxers:eek:

Ok so I guess I will get the ball rolling with my favorite things;

First of all even before vacation, all year long I enjoy the web cams and chatting and sharing with my friends in here. I never met any of you but I feel like I have and many of you feel like family to me. I truely love and cherish many of you and hopefully will meet you one day.

I know I already have plans to buy Mink a garden Weasel at the Purple Moose and Ariel and I are going to build a bon fire on the boardwalk lol.

Ok next I do love the smells of the beach and boardwalk. Love the sound of the ocean, so powerful its like the voice of God.

Love looking forward to a great meal every night.

Love sitting on my boardwalk balcony watching the sights and hoping the man playing that long hollow tube instrument would please take it down the boardwalk 2 miles lol

Like playing a few classic games at the arcades, getting on the giant ferris wheel and feeling a difference in temperature as I get to the top, paying 10 dollars for a chicken wing at Daytons, love to have my own maid, and love the fact in terms of drinking its always 5:00 lol

well now its your turn and lets all get involved as somethings might be an inspiration to others to try this year. I noticed sometimes here we will have hundreds or thousands of views but only a few replies so lets get off of our lazy horses and tell whats inportant to you because its also important to me and others are interested also.

Love ya all

I love that when we are down our drinking term is that it is ';12:00: somewhere. We are only 4-5 hours away but we will stay up all night and drive down at 2 a.m. knowing that check in is late afternoon. Sitting by the indoor pool after we eat breakfast at Laytons, trying to keep our eyes open and drinking a beer. Waiting for ';our'; maids to reconize us from all the previous years to get us in our rooms as quick as possible. Either going to bed early or trying to stay awake to see how long the day seems the first day. Going over the the Delaware Bridge and smelling that ';first smell';. Knowing we are soon to our second home. Riding the bus. Going to frontier town. Going down to the beach early every morning to see the dolphins. Yelling at the kids to move closer into shore. Just smelling the smell. Getting the sand out of your bathing suits and then your hair. Still getting sand out of your hair a week after you get home. I love it all!! And I love getting on this site every single day to see what everyone has to say, I feel like I know everyone on here too! We will be on our way down June 30th-July 7th. Can%26#39;t WAIT!!

Babs thats sounds great and I thought I was the only one on here everyday reading the post lol. Do you also read the post in the Ocean City Forum? I read both daily. And as I mentioned I love the web cams also and I%26#39;m sure you do also so if you feel you don%26#39;t have all of them let me know and I%26#39;ll share the ones I use. Have a great time down there and I will be sure to share my experiences with you because I will be there a week before you.

I read all the posts everyday lol. I forgot to mention another one of my favorites is sitting at the Tiki Bar at the Ocean Voyager they have the best for only 1.99 get a topper in it for only a buck more, you can%26#39;t go wrong. Yes I like the web cams too. I like getting on the Kite loft and looking at the beach. The other ones seem to take to long loading or something on my puter, if you know of any for me to try let me know. Thanks and enjoy your vacation.

I too visit OC forum daily. Was down in April and will be heading back in September, it seems too long of a wait. I love sitting by the pool bar at Tidelands or Plim Plaza with a nice cold beer.

Love Anthony%26#39;s on 17st and Phillips sea-food-buffet.

Just like everyone else I just love the smell. Mainly the smell of the ocean but also all the scents from the boardwalk.... popcorn, fries, pizza nad everything else.

I love getting up early and watching the sunrise.

Playing a round at a goofy putt-putt golf course.

People watching.....one of my fav%26#39;s anywhere (especially fun to do in Key West)

And of course getting lost at Seacrets (not hard to do after a dozen adult refreshments )

Got the bug so bad that we are headed there on Sat for one nite. Wife thinks I%26#39;m a little crazy but that%26#39;s why she married me. Was really glad when I called this morning that a room was still avail.

This is fun! So many things to love! Yes - the smells, (ocean air and boardwalk food smells), the sights - my husband just lays on the boardwalk wall while we get our showers - he watches all the people go by. I like to have my feet in the sand while eating at Mackey%26#39;s or looking out over the water at Bahama Mama%26#39;s.

I love the crowds on the boardwalk every night - I could walk until my feet hurt. The cheezy souvenirs and the odd entertainment along the way.

I%26#39;m sure there%26#39;s more I haven%26#39;t thought of ! I can%26#39;t wait until July 21st when we go!!!

I love sitting on a bench on the boardwalk eating Thrasher%26#39;s french fries and downing it with a milkshake from Dumser%26#39;s Dairyland. Somehow food just tastes better at the beach.

Hey Forum! You%26#39;ve got a newbie here. I%26#39;ve been through MD, and to the Inner Harbor, but this will be my virgin run to OC!!

I can%26#39;t wait. I will be joined by my teenage daughter (13) and son, (15) both bringing friends.

I am enjoying the forum and soaking up all that I hopefully need to know.

Tracy--I will be there 7/21 too!

Hey rrobynec!! You%26#39;ll have a great time! This will be our 6th time as a family, and I%26#39;ve also been there a few times when I was a kid. You can%26#39;t beat the whole package of OC! Between the hotels, boardwalk, things to do, you can%26#39;t go wrong!!

We%26#39;re going to be coming to the beach this year with good friends and their family. My friend is in a wheelchair, so I%26#39;ve been trying to find out information about what places are wheelchair friendly (restaurants), and what%26#39;s the best solution for beach wheelchairs. I know that there are some available, but I%26#39;m not really sure where to start.

tracyann. check out http://www.barbsbuggys.com/

They have beach wheel chairs and I believe they deliver them to you.
