Place to Stay Mom + 3 Girls??

I am traveling to the University of MD with my kids for a Leadership Conference in DC July 22 - 27. I was thinking about finishing the trip off with a 3 day trip to OC. I traveled there as a child many times and always loved the boardwalk and the amusements at the end.

Please give some advice on great hotels/motels/bed breakfasts that are on the boardwalk and near enough to the amusements. My girls are 12, 8 and 5. I have spent hours searching online and am getting no where. Thanks for your help!

Also, where can I find GREAT crab cakes in OC??

Place to Stay Mom + 3 Girls??

Thank you for the website tip, but I was hoping for personal experience on great places for to stay with kids. Clean, comfortable and nice.

I hope to hear from you guys soon...

Ladies:

To make this as easy as possible I would suggest you search for available rooms for the dates you wish to visit.

With just two weeks till your arrival I would think there would be few rooms available on the Boardwalk and one suggestion what is available you might not want to book.

https:/…

This is one of many sites allowing you to search for rooms.

I ran a search for the 27th-29th and one hotel that came up was the DUNES MANOR H-O-T-E-L which is quite a nice place at 27th street and directly oceanfront.

You would be one block from the northern end of the Boardwalk.

Not directly in the busy section of town but a nice quiet neighborhood that might be welcome after a busy day.

Clean, quite, two pools, (outside and inside) and you can eat in the HOTEL.

There is also a DUNES Manor MOTEL nearby but not as nice or comfortable as the hotel.

You can search for the dates you plan to visit this was just my best guess and then see what your options are.

Let us know what choices you have and we can give our opinions.

If you are able to book a room at the Dunes I am sure you will be satisfied.

You can check the available rooms on the site I provided or use the search feature on this site under ';hotels';.

Crabcakes you can find them almost everywhere.

Captains Galley, Crabcake Factory, and BJ%26#39;s. Some of my favorites.

Are you drving to town?

Hope this helps any other questions just ask.

Have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Some information you might find helpful.

Personal places I stayed with kids in the past that I think are clean and kid friendly.

Park Place on 3rd boardwalk

Tidelands on 5th boardwalk

Hotel Monte Carlo 3rd and ocean block

All are great location walking distance to the main stuff..

We have enjoyed the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites. It is great for kids, and having a kitchen is very nice. Enjoy your trip!

Tidelands Caribbean Hotel and Suites on 5th st. It%26#39;s oceanfront on the boardwalk and it is very close to the rides and amusements. It%26#39;s at a affordable price, it has 2 pools, one of the pools is right next to the Bluefin Poolside Bar and Grill, which has a kid section on the menu, and the other pool is rooftop. The rooftop pool is always the quietest, and the suites pool is full of action with music blaring. The suites are really nice with a kitchenette and a jacuzzi tub in the room.

As for the crabcakes, you can find great crabcakes ANYwhere in Ocean City. My personal favorites are Phillip%26#39;s, the Crab Cake Factory, and BJ%26#39;s.

Bluefin Poolside Bar and Grill, right in the Tidelands, serves crab cakes too that are REALLY good. They have a sandwich that is a crabcake with crab dip smothered on top of it. It is really good, you have to try it.

Enjoy your trip!

You guys are great! Thanks for all of your wisdom and advice. A lot of the hotels you guys suggested are totally booked. I decided on a room at The Breakers at 3rd Street on the Boardwalk. It seems like a great location and I figured that if it rains we can swim inside. Also, it%26#39;s a non-smoking hotel which sounds fantastic to me!

Breakers should work out well for you. We%26#39;ve never stayed there, but its ratings are pretty good. We%26#39;ve had positive experiences with Comfort Inn Boardwalk, The Grand, and Dunes Manor.

For crab cakes I highly recommend Phillips Crab House on 21st and Shenanigans on 4th and Boardwalk.

Have a great time. We%26#39;ll be in OC on 7/27.
