Going to the Virgin Fest from Dominican Rep... NEED HELP!!

Hi,

A friend and I are going to this year%26#39;s Virgin Festival. We%26#39;re staying at Ramada Inn (I know, only thing available for less than 100) it%26#39;s on 6422 Baltimore National Pike Catonsville, MD 21228... the Fest will offer a shuttle from the Rogers avenue... any idea on how to get there... and back from? we are also staying two extra days... suggestions on what to do are more than welcome!

Thanks!

Going to the Virgin Fest from Dominican Rep... NEED HELP!!

Hi Carlos -

This is a tough one. I would call your hotel and ask them if they are on Light Rail or on a bus route that will take you to downtown Baltimore (where you can then catch the metro to Rogers Ave for the shuttle -and presumably do the same on the way back). I have no idea what the bus/light rail lines are like from Catonsville to B-more, but I%26#39;d be surprised if there wasn%26#39;t somthing going downtown.

Otherwise, your best bet is to rent a car and pay for the $25 preferred parking. It will be a pain to get in and out because of the traffic (and of course it%26#39;s not the way to go if you are planning to do a lot of drinking) - but timewise it%26#39;s probably the same as the bus-metro-shuttle or light-rail-metro-shuttle process.

Since you are going to the Virgin Festival,I%26#39;m going to assume that you are interested in more alternative/not necessarily typical tourist stuff? Of the typical tourist stuff,I would highly reccomend the Aquarium. Other than that, check out my go list that might have some stuff that would interest you:

There is no light rail in that immediate area. There is bus service, but not any that I%26#39;d recommend to out-of-town tourists...I%26#39;d go with a taxi to Rogers Ave to meet the shuttle there.

Thanks! More than appreciated!!!
