Does anyone know the costs to rent chairs and umbrellas on the OC beach? My wife needs an umbrella and we would be interested in a couple chairs or loungers, but we%26#39;ve never rented them before. Do you rent from the life guard?

I was just on the boardwalk yesterday and noticed that the umbrellas rent for $15 per day (9 am to 5 pm) and the nice lounging chairs are $10 per day. Very pricey if you ask me. What I have heard a lot of people do instead is just buy a cheap umbrella and chairs at Walmart or a place like Sunsations when they get into town. Ends up being a heck of a lot cheaper if you plan to be on the beach every day for an entire week.
If you do want to rent, the rental stands are set up about every 2 blocks or so. Just look for the big blue boxes.

there%26#39;s usually a weekly fee about $50 for the umbrella, i%26#39;m not sure about the chair, but if you rent on the beach they set up your umbrella every morning. that%26#39;s what we do and it%26#39;s nice to always have your spot set up for you.
I usually go to the Walmart in West Ocean City and buy umbrellas and chairs from there. As mink66 said, you could also go to Sunsations and there are 14 throughout OC.
I think the price is like $50 for the whole week to rent an umbrella and lounger chairs for them to set up for you. If your not going on the beach for the whole week, I think it is like $15. There is like a big blue box every 9ft to rent from.
Does the walmart in the OC area have a grocery section?
