Need cheap, but clean, hotel room

My boyfriend and I are looking to take our first mini-vacation together. We are looking for a cheap hotel/ motel (budgets are tight for college kids!) but is clean and friendly. I have been looking endlessly for three days and have mixed reviews about everything. We are looking to go from August 6-8 or 9, depending on the prices.
