Harborside bar and grill

The Harborside has a pretty rough review this year in the dining section, and not too much good prior to that. We had planned to go there, now I am not too sure. Does anyone have any recent experiences they can share?

Harborside bar and grill

I%26#39;ve been there probably a dozen times over the last two years. Food is decent bar food, nice view of the commercial harbor, drinks are good, atmosphere is always laid back every time I%26#39;ve been there. I wouldn%26#39;t go there during an extremely hot and humid day as there is very little A/C seating. Most of seating and bar area is under roof, but open air.

Would harbor side be my first choice over other bar/restaurants in the West OC area?...No...I%26#39;d sooner go to Sunset Grille or Micky Fins. However, Harborside is an OC tradition, and if you have never been, then definitely go. Harborside is known for their ';often imitated, never duplicated'; Orange Crush drinks. Stop in just to taste one of them. They are awesome! Becareful though, Orange Crushes from Harborside will sneak up on you in a hurry as the bartenders mix them strong and you don%26#39;t even taste the alcohol.

Never been there, so we will give it a try. Also plan on going to Micky Fins. Cannot seem to program in the street address for Micky Fins on my GPS. Is there another name for the road over there? Any cross street that I can use?

Thanks,

Tom

Just make the 1st left when you get across the bridge - it is near the bus depot %26amp; muni parking lot - can%26#39;t miss it

Where shanty town was

Yeap, as the previous poster said, it%26#39;s where Shantytown used to be. Basically, it%26#39;s behind all those new blue colored townhomes that were built right along Rt. 50 (across Rt. 50 from Hoopers) that no one is buying. I believe the road is called Shantytown Lane. At least that is what it is called on Google Maps.

Lol mink66, that%26#39;s what they get for tearing down shantytown! Who wants to spend all that money and look at a backup on rt. 50.
