Does anyone know of affordable motels that are no more than say a half hr to 45 minutes away from Loews in Annapolis. Several of us are attending a family wedding which will be held at Loews during boat week. There are several members who are smokers.
We don%26#39;t care if it is actually in Annapolis. Our concern is that the motel is safe %26amp; affordable, has smoking rooms and is no more than a half hour to 45 min. in heavy traffic from Lowes.
Your advice will really be appreciated.

During the Boat Shows, it is going to tough finding a cheap hotel near Annapolis. All hotels in the immediate area will be charging their highest rates. You might want to check some of the hotels around the airport. However, if the wedding has blocked any rooms at the Loews, it will probably be your best bet.
You might check out renting a vacation home. There are many people that offer up their houses for that weekend and you might end up being just down the street from Leows. Any hotel on Jennifer drive (near the mall) is usually ok. There is a Sheraton, Marriott, Comfort Inn and others. I have stayed at the three I mentioned and they are nice and safe. The other more expensive option within walking distance to Loews is the Waterfront Marriott. Standard rooms but great location.
